British band delivers a-MUSE-ing performance on Italian TV
British band Muse recently gave quite the performance on Italian TV earlier this week. Or did they? The band were asked to mime and lip sync to their latest single “Uprising” from their new album “The Resistance” (ah the irony!).
Instead of doing what was expected of them, the band members decided to swap their roles and over-”perform” the track.
Many bands have done this type of thing before, but I think one of the best was Nirvana’s performance on UK chart show “Top of The Pops”. Originally scheduled to perform “Smells Like Teen Spirit“, the band decided to make as little effort as possible with Kurt opting to sing it ala Morrissey!
